Lisa Bargellini, M.S.Ed., LMHC
Lisa Bargellini, MSEd, LMHC received her bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Maryland, majoring in Psychology. She received her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University and is a member of New York Mental Health Counseling Association. Lisa has experience counseling individuals suffering from eating disorders, anxiety, mood disorders and personality disorders.
Lisa worked at the Renfrew Center of New York in the Intensive Outpatient Program where she provided individual, family and couples therapy. She also has experience in their Day Treatment Program during her graduate externship. Her experience includes counseling adolescents and adults suffering from eating disorders. Lisa has facilitated various counseling groups focusing on topics ranging from family support groups, body image, issues with intimacy and mindfulness. Lisa is an active member of Iaedp (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals) and NYMHCA (New York Mental Health Counseling Association.)
In addition to her experience in eating disorders, Lisa completed an internship at Harding Consulting in Baltimore, Maryland where she assisted in the Suboxone Success program ™, a comprehensive substance abuse program to help individuals overcome heroin addiction. Lisa co-led anger management and relapse prevention groups to the individuals in the program.
Lisa strives to create a safe, empathetic and nonjudgmental atmosphere where her clients can feel comfortable to explore their thoughts and feelings. She tailors her approach to counseling to fit the needs of each individual. Together, she and her clients will work toward achieving a more balanced life.
